(More customer reviews)You can buy a subscription to the bimonthly "Audubon" magazine, but the best way to get it is as a benefit derived from joining the National Audubon Society (currently $35/year).Conservation is a central theme of this magazine, but it also has lots of gorgeous photographs of sandhill cranes, snowflakes, caribou, and everything else that you might expect from a nature magazine, although the articles tend toward pessimism ('grim realism' some might say.)

There are also lots and lots of ads for people who would like to go eco-touring or birding in exotic locales.I learned to my dismay that I'm not even classified as a birder because I've never traveled somewhere to see a particular bird.I'm just a humble birdwatcher who tries to identify the avian species that show up at our feeders (everything from wild turkeys to ruby-throated humming birds.)

On the pessimistic side, the March-April 2005 issue of "Audubon" has warnings about global warming (which might affect the fertility of leopard geckos), Easter ducklings that parents buy for their children, then drop off in the local pond when they get too big (most breeds of domestic ducks and geese can't fly.Basically the unwanted ducks sit in the pond and starve), the over-harvesting of dead wood in European forests (Bechstein's bat nests in dead wood), and the American eel, which has to run the gauntlet of "bait hunters, turbines, and spillways...in a constant battle to hold its own."

There are some bright spots, too:the red-tailed hawk known as 'Pale Male' is holding its own in New York City, along with its mate, Lola.'Freecycling' on the internet has "inspired more than half a million people to keep their junk out of landfills"--I thought this was going to be an article about E-Bay, but 'freecycling' is something different.It's more of an 'adoption agency' than an auction site.If you're interested in 'freecycling' your extra firewood or an outdated computer, check out the website at freecycling.org.

Anyone who is interested in birding, or the state of the world's ecology would do well to join the National Audubon Society.Your membership fee will help in the fight to protect endangered environments and species, and you'll get this interesting magazine as a side benefit.

Fantech Dryer Booster Lint Trap - Fantech Model DBLT4 Review

(More customer reviews)I just finished a few loads of laundry after installing all new dryer ducting, a lint trap and Fantech booster fan (the system works VERY well). After every load the lint trap needed to be cleaned. OK, it's doing it's job. However, taking off the door involves pinching the spring retention clip, cleaning the screen then reinstalling the spring clips in very small hard to see holes. The spring clip is awkward and the screen is poorly adhered to the metal housing (after 2 loads it's already coming loose). Also, the Fantech Lint Trap housing is very industrial looking (galvanized sheet metal), and doesn't fully recess in a standard wall frame. I'm not sure Fantech could have put less thought into how this lint trap would actually fit into a laundry room and be used. It needs to be cleaned often, which will likely be the least desirable step in the entire laundry process (including folding and putting clothes away). I am actively looking for an alternate lint trap solution. I am convinced that the lint trap is necessary (the dryer vent isn't catching all the lint), but there must be a better solution out there! (no complaints about the Fan - it's quiet and works perfectly).

(More customer reviews)I bought this tool to cut duct outlets for high velocity AC systems I install from Unico. I have used the X-305 model for Airtec MV diffusers and this smaller size uses the same blades and has the same great build quality.

It is easy to adjust the size hole and I can use a cordless drill to cut holes where if I used a hole saw I would need to use a cord drill and an extension cord and worry about clean cuts and have all the dust and shavings to cleanup afterwards. I used it with the high speed steel blades to cut 20 holes in a 5/8" tongue and groove wood ceiling for 5 inch light cans in less than an hour. And I used an old 18 volt Milwaukee cordless drill that uses NiCad battery packs.

I even cut speaker holes in my boat using the tungsten carbide blades to cut holes through the gelcoat and fiberglass. For a tight fit I needed to make a 5-1/8" cutout for the waterproof speakers. Try to find a hole saw that is 5-1/8" - it does not exist.

The 7 inch diameter shield makes it easy to get the tool in tight spaces or close to the edge of a soffit or cabinet and also keeps the cutter perpendicular. I like that I can adjust how deep it cuts so I don't need to worry about cutting something hidden behind the wall or clipping a beam.

The storage case is very high quality, and much better than the cases with the tools I have bought. I like having everything I need in a single case, including spare blades.

I like to buy a tool that will last for many years of use and the Hole Pro hole cutters are that kind of tool. Everything about them is first class.

The thermostat to control the fan speed is a great idea, but ours doesn't consistently run only when the AC kicks on. When it does run, it's not exactly quiet and kind of annoying. However, we do manage to sleep through it fine. Overall though, I gave this product only 2 stars because it doesn't force that much more cold air into the room. It would also be helpful if the vent slats were directional. Running the fan function by itself (not with the AC) produces no extra cold air, only air movement.
After purchasing one, I hoped it would work at least okay to purchase another for my upstairs office. Instead, I'm shelling out the money for a free standing AC unit. I'd advise you to do the same if you want cold air.

(More customer reviews)I have had two of these fans in some of my bathrooms.Both were LOUD and short lived.My parents had a similar fan as well and were quite dissapointed with them.Neither of my units lasted more than two years without having to replace the motors (I've even cracked the motors open myself and relubed them).Even the warranty battle has been dissapointing... Without writing a book, I have had some other general problems with these units related to electronics and plastic bezel.I have replaced the unit with a less expensive, heavier constructed, and quieter unit made by Hunter.Music to my ears and much more reliable.

(More customer reviews)I used this fan at a triplex I own where the room was rather small and steamed up very quickly.I didn't want to exhaust to the attic because the building is rather old (90+) and had very limited crawl space in the attic to make sure there was proper ventilation.My choice was to exhaust through the wall and opted to mount the motor outside to reduce noise.It does a great job of removing all air from the bathroom during a shower, and although not silent, it's not too objectionable.I am installing my third one and the other two seem to be working great.It's a little tough to get the RVF 4, as most places, including Amazon are backordered on them.You can find the RVF4 XL, but it uses a lot more power than the simple 4.

36 in. Heavy Duty High Volume 2 Speed Belt Drive Whole House Fan Review

(More customer reviews)This is my same review as the 30" version of this fan, they are both identical except for the size of course.

One star off for the cheap louvers, however there are upgraded aluminum extruded avaliable for a few dollars more. Now this is not a whisper quiet fan, it is however much quieter then the unit The Home Depot sells. You will know this fan is running so avoid placement near family/living/bedrooms. This unit comes with a high and low switch in decora style and have found it to be of good quality. Other then a set or two of louvers that got damaged during shipping I've had zero problems with all the units I have installed, and knock on wood have not had to replace a single motor. I find the motor supplied with this fan should last 10-15 years depending on how much you run the fan. I would highly avoid DIYers attempting an installation unless you have a good concept of framing and electrical as you will need to remove a joist to install this fan, the only exception would be if you got a set of truss style louvers and had an additional attic access hole large enough to fit this fan. The packaging the louvers come with have a template to trace onto the ceiling so you know where to cut, my advice when cutting out the template is to cheat inward on the line about 1/8th of an inch so you don't accidentally cut the hole too big. IMO the louver template is just sightly too big. I also recommended a spring round 12 hr timer which can be ganged together with the high/low switch if you know what you are doing. Overall a fantastic product, I'll continue to buy this fan for years to come. For the money it can't be beat.

(More customer reviews)The vent I was boosting is on the floor and I was hoping the AirFlow would work better than my Suncourt EQ2. I should have done a little more research online before buying. One website indicated that the AirFlow would boost 60% while the EQ2 boots 80%. My thinking was that two fans would be better than one. Unfortunately, that didn't turn out to be the case and the EQ2 does have more boosting capability.

However, the AirFlow works and the design is nice in that it fits into the vent instead of over the vent. My floor vent isn't in a high-traffic area so this feature wasn't a benefit since my EQ2 wasn't likely to be tripped over or kicked around. The flush design will work in a wall vent which is one advantage over the EQ2. The AirFlow and EQ2 generate about the same noise level.

For standing on your shop workbench, or floor, they provide feet to snap into place, to keep the fan stable. You need these feet because, when the fan is on medium or high, it will want to fall backwards. I like to use these fans in my windows, without the feet on of course. I just get it in the window the best I can, then close the window on it to hold it there. You want it in the window as stable as you can cause the fan will vibrate.

PERFORMANCE: I am really not that impressed with these ones, I was spoiled with my 22 inchers. These fans are not only smaller, but the construction of them are really flimsy. When operating, they do a lot of rattling, due to this flimsy construction. It really has a weak motor, meaning it takes time for it to start up, and high on it is like low on my 22" box fans.

On a hot summer day, I have to put this thing on high to be of any use. If its on high, it pushes enough to keep the air circulation going, and you won't be sweating. This fan does have one advantage over my 22 inchers though, its much quieter. At night, when it gets much cooler, I can put this fan on low. It acts kind of like air conditioning at night and is almost silent on low!

I don't like these in my workshop, they just don't push enough air to be of any use in commercial applications. They are great space savers though, and because they are so energy efficient, I can leave this fan on all night, to help me sleep, and not worry about a heavy power bill!

CONCLUSION: These fans are not as good as my 22 inchers by far. But they are quieter then the 22" box fans, and they can fit in smaller spaces, if thats an issue for you. I really dont like their flimsy construction though, or the weak motors. I keep thinking the vibration is going to tear itself apart one of these days. lol My recommendation, buy what you need, if you are happy with a 20", get one. But if your serious about power and longevity, you will buy the 22" model.

My husband wanted a fan and I wanted a chandelier and this turned out to be a great compromise. The shades are actually a little lighter than they appear in the picture. The only negative that I have is that the crystal pieces all attach with these little gold clips that you insert through holes and bend and they are very thin and flimsy. Make sure you bend them as tight as you can when you attach them to the fixture because one of my crystals slipped out of the hole during the installation and cracked. I don't know that I can find a replacement.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this installation kit to go with a Panasonic inline fan.This listing title is "Installation Kit" and it shows the backdraft damper and cable-ties as well as the 4" grille.However, the kit **DOES NOT INCLUDE THE BACKDRAFT DAMPER**, although it is shown in the photo and implied in the title.This is **NOT** really the true installation kit, it is only the 4" inlet grille.

Researching after receiving this incomplete kit, it seems Panasonic does sell a full installation kit, but that is the PC-NLF04S.The photo and title these guys are showing in this misleading listing really goes with that other product.

To be fair, I am still giving the seller 2 stars, because it is the proper 4" grille for the fan.

But, be warned, this is NOT really the installation kit as title and picture indicate, it is ONLY for the grille.You will need to buy the backdraft damper (and cable ties) separately from a different source.

(More customer reviews)This is a higher quality unit that the vent i replaced.I had to replace my pervious unit after the people who sealed my attic also sealed the vent shut.

The local utility contracts attic and house sealing as part of an energy conservation program, your tax dollars at work.I do not know what it will do for my heating bill but they did seal my attic vent closed.

I had to do a lot of adaptation to get a good mount but this may be becuase the people who installed the last one did such a bad job.I had to make a frame and secure it in place and then attach teh vent to the new frame.I made the frame from 1/8" by 1" lath.

The vent baldes are counterbalanced by a spring.The instruction specify that the spring be tensioned to just let the vent close.This is what ai did and in tests both sides closed relaibly.ON installation one sice stays open.Any touch will close them and if I push the vent open with a stick it always closes.Every time the fan wind opens it, it stays open.I suggest you be sure the closure is very secure.I only need it closed at the end of the season, so this issue a mild annoyanceOtherwise it's an excellent product.

(More customer reviews)In the American Midwest we get hot summers and cold winters--and incredibly large heating and cooling bills. Wanting to reduce the temperature of our house and lower our utility bills at the same time, my wife and I invested in the gold model from Reiker, and it worked great for two years.
When it stopped working this past winter, I gave Reiker a call and asked them if there were some quick fix that I could do, to which the very abrupt woman on the phone said, "Do you have the model number, sir?"
I flipped over the remote and read to her, "MODEL: FAN-15T."
"What is that? I don't know what that is. You have to give me the model number, sir."
"That is the model number from the back of the remote," I said, but it didn't do any good.
"Sir, you have to give me the correct model number," she whined.
Knowing that they only make four fans, three of them being the same fan just in different colors, I told her which one I had, but she cut me off and said very loudly, "Sir, you have to give me the model number. We cannot help you without the model number!"
I asked her where I could find the "correct" model number, and she said that the only place that it could be found is in the owner's manual--not on the fan, the remote, or even the box that it came in.
When time allowed several weeks later, I went to our storage unit where we kept the box with all its related paraphernalia, and pulled out the owner's manual, and gave them another call this morning.
Strangely enough, the model number wasn't so important this morning. She didn't even ask for it. She didn't ask for much of anything. She did ask if I had changed the switches in the back side of the remote, to which I replied that I hadn't. She suggested I give that a try and then reset it, which I did, but was rude enough to ask her to stay on the line while I tried it with the fan. Disgusted with my desire to keep her on the line, she put me on hold for 4 minutes.
When she finally came back, she asked if I had done that, to which I replied, "Yes, but it appears to be to no avail."
Then the claws came out again. "Well, sir, do you have the receipt?"
"Yes."
Apparently not expecting anyone to still have their original receipt, she asked again, "You have the receipt?"
"Yes, I sure do."
"Well, you will have to mail the motor to . . ." and gave me an address to King of Fans in Ft Lauderdale. She then told me that I would have to mail a copy of the original receipt, the motor, my name, address, phone number, description of the problem with the fan, and the remote to them--along with a check for $37 for the King of Fans to ship it back to me.
"Whoa," I said. "You do not service your own fans? And you are going to make me pay for everything?"
"You have to pay for the shipping both ways, sir," she growled.
I told her how disappointed I was with the fan and her company, to which she had absolutely no reply. I waited for her to give some kind of answer, but she never did. I finally said, "goodbye," and she hung up as soon as the word was out of my mouth.
Now that's not what I would call great customer service. And a $379 fan should last a lot longer than two years. I'm sure that if we mailed the motor to Florida, the King of Fans would find a problem with it unrelated to anything that Reiker would cover in their "Lifetime Limited Warranty", so I believe I'll save the additional expense and frustration and buy a regular fan from a decent company.
I think, all in all, the fan may have saved us $75 in our heating and cooling bills (interesting to note that if we sent the motor, that savings would be entirely used up in the shipping), which leaves $304 that we now have spent on a very large paper weight.

The old unit was in perfect condition, except that the white plastic fan cover had discolored over the years and became somewhat brittle. We remodeled and replaced the old unit, but we moved the old unit to another bathroom in the basement and it was off and running again. The discolored grill didn't much matter because this bathroom is rarely used - if I had my way we would not have replaced it - but my wife insisted since we were having everything "new" in the new room.

(More customer reviews)I bought this nice looking utility fan for my 2-car garage. Special-ordered from Lowes for the same price listed here.
The motor isn't reversible. A very bulky 5-speed wall switch is included in the box. Fan comes with a 1/2" x 12" downrod and j-hook mounting bracket. The j-hook won't accomodate a wireless controller, and it offsets the downrod from the center of the fan box.The offset was pretty noticeable since I used a surface-mount fan box. I suppose I could replace the j-hook with a universal ball and ball hanger to fix that.
Anyway, the reason I decided to take this back to Lowes is that it just doesn't move a lot of air. If I am directly beneath the blades on the highest setting, I feel a light breeze. If I step anywhere outside the 56" diameter of the fan, I don't feel anything - although it sounds like it's blowing a lot of air. I guess the problem is the shape and pitch of the blades. They look almost flat and parallel.
I replaced this fan with a Hampton Bay 60" Industrial fan, and the difference is night and day (and $10 cheaper). Of course it's a bigger fan, but I still expected more from a 56", as my garage is 18.5' x 20'.

(More customer reviews)I would give this fan 4, maybe even 5 stars, if the included wall control was remotely intelligent, but it pisses me off every time I use this fan, so it seriously takes away from my overall enjoyment of it.Let me just start off describing the wall control unit:there are two buttons and a rocker switch.The top button cycles through the fan speeds and the bottom button cycles through the light brightness, then the rocker is a master on/off switch.Each time you hit a button, there's an annoying audible series of tones that changes in pitch that is supposed to tell you which fan speed or brightness level it is on.Let me just say that I have owned the fan now for at least 6 months, and I have no idea how many brightness levels or fan speeds there are.It goes something like this:Slow -> Medium -> Fast -> Fastest -> Off.Try to imagine being able to tell visually the difference in fan speeds and you'll understand how completely stupid this is (or try to remember and decipher the audible morse code).For the light, the only definitive change is going from brightest to off.They could have made this 5x simpler, 1000x less annoying, and 5x faster by just replacing this brain-dead method with more buttons.

With that said, the fan itself is attractive and works quietly.However, I would hesitate to buy any more Casa products because I fear that they'll use this common control mechanism.In another room, I have a Minka Aire fan that, with a single push of a button, I can get exactly the light or fan speed I want.This drastic difference makes it even more annoying that I have to put up with the Casa control unit.

I was told by my electrician that most of the cost of producing fans is spent on the motor.So, buy a more expensive Hunter fan.I bought the "Grand Isle" for my bedroom and it is much better and has a remote.
Ordering through Amazon and avoiding "Home Depot" is always the way to go. Both fans came on time and in perfect condition.

They look realy good and I get a lot of compliments on them. they don't rotate that fast even on high but the fans are so big they still move alot of air. The low setting is so slow that it realy doesn't move any air. I used 3ft extension rods and I had to use the balance kit that come with the fans on 1 fan to keep it from wobling to much, the other 2 were fine

(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these fans years ago and they are still running strong.They are both modern and classic all at the same time.Since then, I have been on a never-ending search for more of the same so I can have this particular fan in all my rooms.It doesn't list it here, but the fan I have is run by a remote control which is the greatest thing since sliced bread.I mounted it by the light switch and you can control the fan speed and the light brightness with the push of a button (it has a dimmer!).No more reaching up to change fan speeds!

I highly recommend this ceiling fan.And I can say I am SO happy that my search has finally ended!!!

(More customer reviews)Attempted to purchase a WHITE 60" downrod from CPO.They confirmed delivery in mid-January.The cardboard tube arrived EMPTY with one end KNOCKED OUT.The delivery was made by FedEx Home Delivery.I called FedEx (the operator spoke VERY POOR English; I couldn't even understand his name - honest!)This FedEx operator was able to comprehensively tell me to "you must contact the carrier."Odd - I thought FedEx WAS the carrier!After this I called CPO, who emailed me the next day to let me know they were working to resolve this issue.Two weeks later, they let me know (after I asked THEM) that it would be best to cancel the order, and re-credit my account since their supplier couldn't produce another white 60" downrod. ...I hope the money makes it back to me...
Alot of wasted time for my construction crew - which cost me more money!
Of interest, FedEx was able to tell me that the shipping tube weighed 6 lbs.The empty tube certainly didn't weigh this amount.So there's a lot of places where the true blame could lie.Never the less, I'll not be using CPO again, I'll avoid FedEx like the plague, and I'll be very leary to use Amazon as a middle-man, ever again.

(More customer reviews)Just bought and installed this.Installation instructions were a little difficult due to very poor quality pictures.It looks pretty nice, although I'm still trying to warm up to the shape of the light fixture portion.I really don't care for the down-facing light, which seems to flicker a bit.I think it has an electronic pulsing dimmer which I don't care for.I might just bypass the remote and use a traditional wall dimmer for the light instead.The blades feel a little cheesy.I think there's better, higher quality products out there for the money.

(More customer reviews)I bought this fan largely in part to a glowing review I read about Panasonic ventilation fans in one of my husband's trade magazines.Unfortunately, the article did not mention which model they were so happy with, so I bought one that I thought would be suitable for our application. I also had to purchase one that would fit in a vaulted ceiling (no attic space), so it is the 'streamlined' model.Maybe that is the problem.

It definietly works better than the original worthless fan that was there, and it might be a tiny bit more quiet, but I think I am going to move it tomy smaller guest bathroom where it will be more efficient and look for a bigger one for the masterbath. I like the idea of having one that will run for a time and then turn itself off, so I will hit the shopping trail again.

(More customer reviews)In the American Midwest we get hot summers and cold winters--and incredibly large heating and cooling bills. Wanting to reduce the temperature of our house and lower our utility bills at the same time, my wife and I invested in this beauty from Reiker, and it worked great for two years.
When it stopped working this past winter, I gave Reiker a call and asked them if there were some quick fix that I could do, to which the very abrupt woman on the phone said, "Do you have the model number, sir?"
I flipped over the remote and read to her, "MODEL: FAN-15T."
"What is that? I don't know what that is. You have to give me the model number, sir."
"That is the model number from the back of the remote," I said, but it didn't do any good.
"Sir, you have to give me the correct model number," she whined.
Knowing that they only make four fans, three of them being the same fan just in different colors, I told her which one I had, but she cut me off and said very loudly, "Sir, you have to give me the model number. We cannot help you without the model number!"
I asked her where I could find the "correct" model number, and she said that the only place that it could be found is in the owner's manual--not on the fan, the remote, or even the box that it came in.
When time allowed several weeks later, I went to our storage unit where we kept the box with all its related paraphernalia, and pulled out the owner's manual, and gave them another call this morning.
Strangely enough, the model number wasn't so important this morning. She didn't even ask for it. She didn't ask for much of anything. She did ask if I had changed the switches in the back side of the remote, to which I replied that I hadn't. She suggested I give that a try and then reset it, which I did, but was rude enough to ask her to stay on the line while I tried it with the fan. Disgusted with my desire to keep her on the line, she put me on hold for 4 minutes.
When she finally came back, she asked if I had done that, to which I replied, "Yes, but it appears to be to no avail."
Then the claws came out again. "Well, sir, do you have the receipt?"
"Yes."
Apparently not expecting anyone to still have their original receipt, she asked again, "You have the receipt?"
"Yes, I sure do."
"Well, you will have to mail the motor to . . ." and gave me an address to King of Fans in Ft Lauderdale. She then told me that I would have to mail a copy of the original receipt, the motor, my name, address, phone number, description of the problem with the fan, and the remote to them--along with a check for $37 for the King of Fans to ship it back to me.
"Whoa," I said. "You do not service your own fans? And you are going to make me pay for everything?"
"You have to pay for the shipping both ways, sir," she growled.
I told her how disappointed I was with the fan and her company, to which she had absolutely no reply. I waited for her to give some kind of answer, but she never did. I finally said, "goodbye," and she hung up as soon as the word was out of my mouth.
Now that's not what I would call great customer service. And a $379 fan should last a lot longer than two years. I'm sure that if we mailed the motor to Florida, the King of Fans would find a problem with it unrelated to anything that Reiker would cover in their "Lifetime Limited Warranty", so I believe I'll save the additional expense and frustration and buy a regular fan from a decent company.
I think, all in all, the fan may have saved us $75 in our heating and cooling bills (interesting to note that if we sent the motor, that savings would be entirely used up in the shipping), which leaves $304 that we now have spent on a very large paper weight.

The hanging bracket supplied had to be modified to work with the RACO Heavy Duty support I purchased specifically for this fan. The RACO box was listed as made for "Hunter Original Fans". The only problem I had was balacning the blades on the 2 fans I ordered. Very hard to do!!!!!!They were cheap pieces of plastic and flimsy veneer. Definately not worthy of this fan. I see it has been discontinued which is too bad. It seems that when something good is found some corporate big wig kills it. I can see why it has a lifetime warranty, with the oil bath bearing system the thing will probably not wear out. I would like to purchase 2 more in the next 2 years so hopefully they will be re-instated in the production.

It's small enough that you can pick it up and move it around, and it's not so loud that you can't hear overit. It seems to be of solid construction, and when you tilt it up- it stays tilted. It has a perfect balance of weight/size to make it powerful/durableand yet still portable/practical. I'm getting one for myself.

(More customer reviews)We ordered these because they worked beautifully with the hardware in the house and the 2" wood blinds. How very easy to assemble and it allows for a light kit. If there are two switches for fan motor and one for light it is easy to find a ceilinglight that conforms to the small fitter hole. You need to run a separate line to tie into the blue wire for the light.
Didn't need the balance kit it is so smooth and quiet. " Energy Star " which is a huge bonus. I heard that Emerson is leaving the USA because of the Cap and Trade. TaxSorry to see such a wonderful company leave. The smooth finishes on the metal parts are an example of good workmanship. I have other fans made elsewhere and they have cut me, Oh well get them while available they are wonderful.

Sure wish they would have said something like "batteries not included" but more appropriate e.g., "parts necessary to get misters to work are not included and you will get frustrated trying to find all the parts you need to get this product to work and the instructions we provide will only serve to frustrate you more"

But after you hire someone to install you will have many cool summer nights...

The only draw back of this fan was that the installation insturctions are totally generic and do not apply specifically to this fan.Due to this the installation of the blades to the motor was time consuming to figure out as the generic instructions indicated to mount the blade on the bottom of the motor ring while in fact they have to be mounted to the top of the motor ring for this fan and since it is obcured by the attached light assembly it is not obvious to see this.

(More customer reviews)This fan was installed in our 6 year old son's room--and it is really cute.It took both my husband & I to install it, only because he needed me to hold it up while he connected it.Other than that, it was very easy and fit where his old fan had been.The glove looks almost like leather--two family members even reached up to touch it because it looks like it would be soft.The baseball globe is adorable--it even has red stitching!The motor is very quiet, and it doesn't wobble at all.A definite thumbs up!

Product Description:
The Westinghouse Swirl fan provides powerful cooling and air with its 52-inch, five-blade design. The blades are reversible, with one side being rosewood and the other light maple, providing versatility in home decorating. Both sides coordinate handsomely with the fan's brushed nickel finish.
The fan includes a four-light lighting kit with the four globes creating a square pattern below the center of the fan, providing welcome light when necessary. The globes are made of frosted swirled glass.

(More customer reviews)This is the ceiling fan light pull switch that is needed to replace an existing three wire switch. This is referred to as a 3-way fan light switch. This switch has four positions with (1) INPUT (BLACK WIRE) & (2) OUTPUTS (RED WIRE & BLUE WIRE). POSITION(1)-OFF, POS(2)-Black-Red, POS(3)-Black-Blue, POS(4)-Black-Blue-Red. Be careful and make sure to disconnect the input power prior to replacing. Here's a tip: Turn the fan on and then turn the wall switch off, if the fan stops turning then it should be safe to proceed. This assumes there is only one wall switch for the ceiling fan/light fixture. Just reuse the existing wire nuts when replacing. My ceiling fan had a blue wire instead of a black wire as the input. I also used my digital camera and took closeup shots prior to replacing. This will save you headaches later on any rewiring or reassembly job.

I purchased a hunter fan to go along with these bullet lights, because I liked how they looked and I wanted to have a lot of light when I needed it. Well these do the trick, the wiring was straight forward, and really easy. They are a nice set, just be aware of the size.

Only issue is I cannot find a light kit made for this unusual fan. Otherwise, very happy.
